Delete your Skytrails account
You can delete your Skytrails account and all data linked to it at any time — right in the app, or by email if you no longer have the app.
In the app (immediately)
- Open Skytrails and tap your profile picture at the top. Your Pilot profile opens.
- Scroll all the way down. Below Sign out you will find Delete account.
- Confirm with Delete.
- To make sure it is you, sign in once more — with your password, Google or Apple, whichever you signed up with. Nothing is deleted before that.
Your account is then deleted straight away and you are signed out. For an account that uses Sign in with Apple, we also revoke the link to your Apple ID.
Without the app (by email)
Write to info@stagworks.de from the email address of your account, with the subject "Delete my Skytrails account" and, if you know it, your pilot tag. We check that the request comes from you, delete the account within 30 days and confirm the deletion by email.
What is deleted
- your account and profile (name, pilot tag, profile photo, email address)
- your logbook: every flight, GPS track, crew entry and statistic
- your airplanes and homebases
- your leaderboard entry, badges, records and public profile
- your Hangar posts, your likes and comments, your reviews of airfields and spots, the groups you own and the fly-outs you organised; you are removed from other groups and other pilots' fly-outs
- friendships, friend requests, fly-together invites and your live-position sharing preferences
- the list of pilots you have blocked
- the push registration of your devices
Live positions are short-lived anyway and disappear when a flight ends. Comments written with very old app versions cannot be found automatically — write to us and we remove them.
What is not deleted, or later
- Reports you filed or that concern you are kept for up to 12 months, longer only where the law requires it (for example as evidence in a child-safety case).
- Copies in other logbooks. A pilot you linked as crew on a flight may have added it to their own logbook; that copy stays with them.
- Flights with friends are deleted when the last crew member has left, at the latest 48 hours after the last activity. ADS-B recordings of airline flights are deleted after 72 hours.
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) are only sent if you allowed them, contain none of your account's content and expire automatically under that service's retention period.
- Data on your device — saved crew contacts, the people you linked in your logbook, licences and ratings, matched photo ids, logins for video sources, your language choice — is removed when you uninstall the app. Your photos themselves were never with us.
Please note: uninstalling the app does not delete your account.
